Food as a substitute for religion – the current hype around food gave Berlin drummer Max Andrzejewski the idea for a gospel about food. The new album of his band HÜTTE (New German Jazz Prize 2013), enhanced by a 13-strong choir with gospel belter Dorrey Lin Lyles, carries us away. It is touching and disturbing. Cherish the butter! ... Glory, glory!
